Outreach Ministry Grants awarded over the past several years include:

 
 

Outreach Programs funded through the division provide support to churches and organizations throughout the Presbytery that are engaged in projects that provide witness and service in ministries of social justice, peacemaking, and ministry to special populations. Programs funded through the division include those addressing homelessness, care for battered and abused persons, foster and day care for children at risk, and assistance to families in crisis situations.

Tarboro Community Outreach provides assistance to those in need of nourishment, hospitality, kindness, and understanding.

Johnston-Lee-Harnett County Community Action provides emergency food supplies to individuals and families.

Rental Assistance, New Bern provides direct service to families needing assistance with rent.

Loaves and Fishes Ministry, Raleigh assists families in maximizing their steps toward achieving family stability.

SAFEchild’s Crianza Con Carino, Raleigh provides curriculum materials for Spanish-speaking parents and their children.

The Wright’s Center, Rocky Mount provides health care, health monitoring, exercise and meals to frail and elderly adults.

Mother’s Morning Out, Roanoke Rapids provides child care assistance to families during the week.

Kinston Inter-Church Outreach aids families needing assistance with rent, utilities, medicine, fuel and other crisis needs.

Good Work, Inc., Durham works to alleviate poverty and hunger among families through self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The Carying Place, Cary provides assistance to poor and homeless families.

Presbyterian Urban Ministry, Durham provides assistance to disabled adults, senior citizens, and families with young children that are at or below the poverty level.

Lazarus Circle Outreach, Henderson provides drug prevention and intervention education young adults.

Noah’s Ark Preschool, New Bern provides scholastic and spiritual training to children.

El Centro Latino "Project Acceso" provides educational services, social services, advocacy, and cultural activities to the Hispanic/Latino community.

Interfaith Hospitality Network, Rocky Mount provides emergency shelter, food, and support services to homeless families with children.

Roanoke Island Presbyterian Day Care provides child care and support to parents of children 0-3 who have special needs.

Emergency Assistance Ministry, Greenville provides temporary financial assistance to individuals and families in situations that could lead to a loss of housing.

Jubilee Loan Fund, Edenton assists families needing immediate attention to financial needs.
