The Summer edition of Education Talk is now available at the Board of Pensions web site.  Highlights from the summer edition include the following:

 

2007 Annual Statement of Benefits

The annual statements were mailed to all active clergy and lay Benefits Plan members on July 17th.  The Board of Pensions urges all participants to carefully review all information contained in the statement taking particular note of the snapshot of personal data found near the end of the statement.  If you find errors, the Board asks that you notify them using the response sheet provided with the statement.

 

Smart Steps Disease Management Program Expands

The Smart Steps Disease Management program which support plan members, spouses, and eligible dependents living with diabetes and cardiac conditions has expanded its program to include the following conditions:

 

  Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Acid-related stomach disorders
  Specialized oncology care Irritable bowel syndrome
  Lower back pain Targeted conditions such as fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis
  Depression

Fitness on a Budget

You don't need to break the bank in order to stay fit.  The Board of Pensions offers a collection of economical ideas that will help you get physically fit.

 

Transition-to-College Assistance Grant Program

The Board of Pensions is providing a one-time grant ranging from $250 to $750 for eligible families of of college freshman entering an accredited college or university.
