New Hope Presbytery Council

■  Provide staff resources to carry out the work of the Presbytery.

■  Organize and conduct the meetings of the governing body to include

■  worship which lifts praise to God and binds our spirits to God and to each other.

■  the efficient dispatch of routine business.

■  processes of corporate decision-making which encourages open discussion, honest debate, and genuine listening to each other and to God's Spirit.

■  every effort to enhance the sense of Christian community among members.

■  Develop and administer the physical and financial resources, and supervise the staff of the Presbytery in ways that are faithful to Christian values of integrity, fairness, and compassion.

■  Practice faithful stewardship of the human resources of Presbytery and its congregations, identifying and calling forth the spiritual gifts of the people of God, and making good use of those gifts to meet present challenges.

■  Maintain and promote a creative challenge to the way things are, in the church and in the world, calling Presbytery and all its part to be open to new direction
