Christian Education Committee

 
The Christian Education Committee attempts to help Christians grow in their faith, understand it better, and articulate it to others.
 
 The committee sponsors opportunities for continuing education for lay and professional Christian Educators.

The committee sponsors a "Check-Out-An-Educator" program that provides consultants to churches that need assistance in choosing new curriculum, youth ministry planning and training, Vacation Church School planning, and teacher training workshops.

CHECK OUT AN EDUCATOR

If you have you have questions concerning your Christian Education program, get the answers through the "Check Out An Educator" program. This program provides consultants to advise churches concerning new curriculum, youth ministry planning and training, Vacation Church School planning, and teacher training workshops.

GROWING TOGETHER

Growing Together is the fall leadership training event for the Presbytery of New Hope. The one-day event is held annually at the Johnston County Community College in Smithfield, NC and generally offers over thirty-five courses in numerous areas of the church's life. Each year, the event features a well-know keynote speaker. Previous keynote speakers include Dr. Walter Brueggeman, professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Growing Together is an annual event where New Hope Presbyterians can come together to experience fellowship and spiritual growth. Please make plans to attend the next Growing Together fall leadership training event. Course and registration information will be available online when available.

S.T.A.R.T.
(Specific Training and Resourcing Together)

S.T.A.R.T. is a winter leadership training event held the fourth Saturday of January at the First Presbyterian Church, Goldsboro. The one-day event focuses upon stewardship, and, in addition, provides detailed and specific training in a variety of areas important to church leaders.


Information concerning the S.T.A.R.T. event is distributed to each church in late Fall. A registration form and course information can be obtained on line when available.
