Our summer has started out busy, and we’ve been keeping a lot of kids busy since their summer vacation started.

 

Twenty-Five Latino children and youth participated in Vacation Church School at Camp New Hope, with the support of our partner churches who provided scholarships, and friends from First Presbyterian, Durham who provided transportation.

 

We also hosted our annual week-long soccer camp, which was intentionally bilingual and integrated. Our on-going soccer program is in full swing, with three teams and 50 children participating, and we’ve already played our first games against a group of teams from Greensboro, to continue throughout the summer and fall. Volunteers & visitors welcome!
